My Thoughts:
What does time travel, inspirational romance, a wounded heroine, and an abusive monster have in common? This novella, of course! I've never read a book quite like this one, but I really enjoyed it. I loved the underlying message: God cares about our problems and will rescue his children, but only in his way and his timing.
I really liked the heroine. She seemed real and authentic... not a weak and powerless cut-out copy like some romantic heroines can be. The villain was believable and quite evil. I hated him thoroughly. I fell in love with the hero, of course.
All in all, an intriguing and enjoyable read. I highly recommend it.
