Hello, everyone! Happy March!

When I was growing up, daffodils were always a sign that spring was coming. We had fields of them behind our old farm house in north Georgia, and you knew winter was on its way out when the florescent yellow blossoms peeked up through the snow. Mmm, I can still smell their sweet fragrance in the crisp air...

I hope it isn't too cold for you Northern folks. It's finally starting to warm up here in the FL Panhandle, thank goodness!

Life Stuff:

Picture
Last week, we added 2 more creatures to the Hurtt herd, bringing the count to 7. 2 humans, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 2 fish. (What were we thinking?!) Anyway, I'm pleased to introduce Levi (short for Leviathan) and Moby.
Picture
Jack the cat isn't quite sure what to think of the newcomers. :)

Writing Stuff:

Picture
Well, I am still slogging through rewrites... I have decided that editing is my least favorite aspect of the writing process. I think I'd rather write 1,000 words a day than edit 100. I'm participating in Speedbo via Seekerville.blogspot.com to keep myself on track and motivated. I'd definitely appreciate your prayers this month to finish this thing already. :)

Reading Stuff:

Here's a list of books I got to finish last month:

And I am currently reading:

Prayer Request Stuff:

Here is the list of prayer requests this month:

My dad - Please pray that he can get his health under control so he can stop taking so many meds. Prayers for strength and patience for my mom as she takes care of him.

Kim - for her finances and for her husband's car to be fixed quickly and inexpensively.

Lanna - for blessings for her book, its message, and its reach; for healing of her mind and body.

Melody - for blessings as she and her husband work as missionaries in Nicaragua and Mexico, grace and patience as she is away from her grandbabies.

Kim - a dear friend who had a miscarriage and their family.

Becky - relief from her back problems and pain, awaiting MRI results.

My friend, Heidi - fighting cancer, taking chemo treatments.

Maxie - Her brother has cancer and is in a lot of pain, also in hospice. Also, her other brother has COPD and has been in the ER.

Sally - That her home in Arizona sells soon.

Sharon - Continued prayers for her daughter to become pregnant.

Deanne - Her husband is having hernia surgery in March.

Kelly - Her father had lung surgery on Feb. 17th to remove a cancerous mass. Please pray for his healing and his salvation.

Thank you for your prayers, sweet friends. If you have a request, just leave a comment or use the contact form and I will add it to the list.

First I want to say thank you for the prayers. I have prayed for all the requests here and will continue to do so. I also want to share a praise report that my father's surgery went well. They removed an egg sized tumor from his lung (not sure which lobe). The tumor was completely incapsulated. Pathology results have shown that the surrounding area is cancer free! Thank you for the prayers and continued prayers please for his salvation. I am at peace knowing the Lord is working.

Your new fish are darling. I love the names too. Especially Leviathan. So clever!

I am taking part in Speedbo too and would cherish and very much appreciate the prayers. This is my first time and I am extremely nervous, but also very excited.

Hello Anna. Hope you are staying well and warm. Our weather is an up and down.My brother is not any better of course, but slowly going down as is expected with no feeding tube and not being able to eat. But, his cancer cannot be cured , and it has already caused the left side of his face to be paralyzed. Please continue to pray for comfort for him, and for strength for my older brother and my self and his 4 children and grandkids also. Plus many nieces and nephews and friends. Thanks and may GOD bless each of you. Maxie

Hi Kelly sorry to hear about your Dad, sounds like surgery went well. I would like prayer for my two grandchildren in Kansas. About a month ago they lost a cousin, never heard the reason why, which makes me think my own reasons. But Kyleigh, my oldest, was closet to the cousin. About a month's difference. She is a true believer, but it's still hard.
Thank you for this opportunity
