I have one more World of Warcraft Necromancer than you

Chapter 366 Encounter on a narrow road

Chapter 366 Encounter on a narrow road

"I have to go... my friend."

Holding the Dwarf Death Ray, a slight ripple stirred in Lorraine's heart.

Its undead face quickly returned to its stiff, ghostly state...

The things I have in my hand are souvenirs from this amazing underground adventure...

He had no intention of testing whether this thing had the power that Dwarf Brian had boasted about.

“Lorraine! You really won’t come back with me? Our Explorers’ Guild doesn’t get involved in any fighting. As long as you join us, neither the Horde nor the Alliance can do anything to you… I assure you, you won’t have to risk your life for someone else’s glory, create bloodshed, or sacrifice yourself in vain.”

“Azeroth has long been scarred. The Cenarion Circle’s prophet warned me that the wrath of the earth would erupt sooner or later, and we must find a way to save the world.”

"Come on an adventure with me... You deserve something far greater! Even digging for treasure could make you a millionaire... Trust me, my collection is no less than my brother's Ironforge bank vault... I'll give you a satisfying reward... Just because you know ancient scripts, you're worthy of becoming a qualified archaeologist!"

Brian stood up and continued to persuade him, but Lorraine, who had already begun climbing the wall, insisted on returning to the ground.

“If the teacher were here, he might be tempted. But I, Lorraine the Plaguebringer… cannot!”

Lorraine murmured softly, without turning back, and continued upwards.

Brian didn't understand... He looked at Lorraine's back with confusion, pondering her reply. Lorraine quickly climbed a flight of stairs. Once she jumped over the junction of the two fissures, she could follow the flow of water and block the space above them.

Outside, war raged. Before Brian set off, he received information that the human alliance in Hillsbrad Foothills had launched a full-scale attack on Undercity...

Once Lorraine emerges from the underground fissure, friends could very well become enemies... Brian shook his head regretfully.

When they were only a few yards from the exit, Lorraine still looked back at the underground fissure.

Brian and he met eyes, their emotions swirling, and Lorraine glanced to the side.

If you don't look, you'll be fine, but once you do, you'll be startled to see several balls of flame suddenly rushing towards you.

It's too late, but it's soon.

Driven by combat instinct, conditioned reflexes...

Brian dodged the suddenly appearing fireball with a flash. The fireball struck the edge of the crack in the ground, blasting away a lot of rocks. Brian looked up from below and quickly ran away to avoid it.

Following the direction from which the attack came, Brian then discovered that a row of cannons had been erected on the stone platform opposite them at some point...

These cannons were the familiar dwarven iron cannons he knew, and the gunners, torches in hand, continued loading gunpowder and shells. A large number of musketeers appeared behind them, pointing their guns towards Lorraine... and battle mages with staffs were chanting spells.

A purple barrier seemed to descend from the crack above Lorraine's head, and upon touching it, Lorraine found that her exit was blocked.

He was trapped near the crevice, on a fragile and dangerous section of the stone steps, amidst a barrage of firearms and ammunition, and dwarven cannonballs raining down on him... He could only scramble around like a monkey, leaping back and forth, searching for a foothold.

Rumble, biubiubiu...

Smoke and debris filled the air, accompanied by shouts that rose and fell.

"Shoot him! Kill him! He's Lorraine, the Plaguebringer! That damned undead spy, he's the one who attacked and kidnapped me! You bunch of idiots, you fools, for humiliating me! If he gets away, I'll send you all to the gallows..."

The familiar, annoying voice came, and Lorraine knew who it was without even turning around...

Garin...

The last prince of Stromgarde...

The puppet marshal found by Master Yuvel of the Kirin Tor...

Lorraine inexplicably attracted enemies.

The guy had woken up sometime earlier; he had clearly overheard Brian and Lorraine's conversation and recognized him. The other lucky survivors who had escaped with him were nowhere to be found; they must have all been rescued.

If Lorraine were to peek out from the crevice where they appeared, he would discover that it was the same crater he had blasted near the human camp at Lake Lordamere.

The underground river has a strange force that makes the water flow upwards... so the fissure was not submerged by the water of Lake Lordamere, but instead created a spectacular sight like a shower.

Previously, when Garin's camp collapsed, the Kirin Tor began building defenses and guarding the surrounding area.

Lorraine had no idea how that damned Garin had managed to contact the human guards at the lakeside camp. Perhaps he had some kind of signal flare or firework on him.

In fact, Lorraine overlooked a fact.

Of the people who escaped with them, only a few were at the scene; some were rescued from elsewhere.

Among them were Kirin Tor battle mages... Those rescued first contacted the lakeside camp, where Kirin Tor mages had already been searching for the entrance to the ancient ruins. They would naturally begin a comprehensive search.

Therefore, nothing is accidental.

The Kirin Tor mages had already set up camp at the rift, but coincidentally, Lorraine and his companions hadn't noticed the blind spot in the rift; from below, it was impossible to see the entire inverted triangular rift.

Only near the exit did Lorraine discover the human's perimeter cordon...

......

"Stop! Stop! We are refugees. What are you doing? Why are you attacking civilians... I'm going to report you to your superiors for attacking civilians..."

Brian stormed over to the commander of the dwarven musketeers, having already noticed that the group of dwarven musketeers and gunners were members of the dwarven mountain patrol force.

“Brian & Bronzebeard, you have no right to cause trouble here. You have no rank or position. We only obey the orders of the Alliance commander. You are suspected of colluding with Horde spies, and we have the right to arrest and detain you for investigation. Men, seize him…”

The dwarven officer seemed to show no respect for the legendary adventurer, and directly ordered the arrest of Brann Bronzebeard.

The latter was naturally furious and cursed, "Fine, you bunch of idiots, how dare you arrest the great Brann Bronzebeard! Do you really think I'm weak? I'll show you what's what... a god descending to earth!"

Brian seemed genuinely angry; his body began to swell...

However, the next second, countless dark dwarven muskets were pointed at his head. The red-bearded adventurer instantly calmed down. He could only revert to his original state and let the dwarven soldiers restrain him, but he was still cursing: "I will sue you! I will complain to your general! Members of the Adventurers' Guild have judicial immunity... You are abusing your power and illegally imprisoning me! I am innocent!"

"Take him away and interrogate him strictly."

Garin jumped out, pointed at the dwarf Brian, and gave the order, while Brian glared fiercely at the young human marshal.

Garin sneered, then his face contorted with rage as he drew his ornate family sword. "Kill that undead spy! I'll make sure he's utterly destroyed!"

With the second round of cannon fire, the rift and the protruding part of the stone steps where Lorraine was located were all blown to pieces.

Dust and smoke billowed up at the scene, and soon everyone lost sight of the area...
