Chapter 221: Noisy
The girl stared at her blankly, her eyes filled with confusion. But Tian Cuiwei was too lazy to explain any further and prepared to leave after their conversation.
After leaving the area, she departed with her maid. The girl pondered the meaning behind her earlier words, but after a long time, she couldn't come up with a conclusion.
Back home, the maid couldn't help but ask curiously, "What did Madam say to that girl just now? She seemed quite distracted."
"It's just helping each other out," she said casually. Then, looking at her little maid, she couldn't help but ask, "Do you perhaps hope your future husband will be like the young master?"
"I don't want that." The little maid shook her head, looking aggrieved. She didn't want this to happen, or she would be angry.
Tian Cuiwei sighed, "I don't wish for the best. Go and rest."
"Yes." She slightly bowed to her and then left.
The brothel was still bustling. Ji Meiqing emerged from the madam's room, her pockets bulging with money. She had grown accustomed to the smells and aromas of the place.
Just as she reached the corner, she saw Ji Tianzhuo coming out of the room not far away, so she immediately went back behind the corner, then peeked out and secretly watched.
Seeing him embracing a girl, their intimate manner made one blush, but Ji Meiqing slightly curled the corners of her lips as she watched this scene.
Once they were back in the room, Ji Meiqing quietly went over, licked a hole in the window paper with her saliva, and then peered inside.
Something inappropriate for children was happening inside, and Ji Meiqing immediately walked away upon seeing this.
He's been living the high life these past few days, but I'm the one who has to clean up the mess. Luckily, I received some money today, so I'm in a good mood and can finally watch a good show.
She went outside, found a little beggar, gave him a silver ingot, and said gently, "Help me find someone. If you find someone, bring him directly to this brothel. There will be extra reward for you."
The little beggar looked at the silver coins in his hand, nodded earnestly, and then ran off in a flash. Ji Meiqing watched his retreating figure, then found a place to sit down in the tavern across the street.
That little beggar was efficient. After seeing his shadow and Tian Cuiwei behind him, Ji Meiqing immediately turned into the brothel next door. She went back to take a look and saw that they were already in bed, and the sounds inside made people blush.
Ji Meiqing looked back again and saw them running towards her, so she immediately ran away. When Tian Cuiwei arrived, she was panting heavily. She stopped and rested for a while.
"That person is in the room. I've delivered the letter. I'm leaving now." The little beggar spoke to her very politely, and then left without waiting for Tian Cuiwei to speak. Tian Cuiwei felt a little strange, but didn't pursue the matter further, and looked at the door with a puzzled expression.
Then he pushed the door open and went inside, where a fierce argument was taking place. Tian Cuiwei froze, stunned by the sounds.
Tian Cuiwei slowly walked over, lifted the curtain, and saw the person inside.
Tian Cuiwei was almost speechless, and she felt a strange mix of emotions as she watched this scene.
The two men noticed her too. The girl screamed, and Tian Cuiwei quickly lowered the curtain and stood to the side.
"Are you sick in the head?!" Ji Tianzhu roared, his face looking rather ugly, but his lower body had already gone soft, and he just yelled at Tian Cuiwei incoherently.
The girl quickly grabbed her clothes and wrapped them around herself, then snuggled into his arms. Tian Cuiwei couldn't say a word, only silently watching them, seemingly looking at something.
"Young Master, she..." The little girl looked at Ji Tianzhuo pitifully, her face still flushed and tears welling in her eyes. She looked very pitiful. Ji Tianzhuo felt a surge of tenderness in his heart, wiped away the tears from her eyes, and then comforted her, "It's alright. Don't be afraid."
"Get out of here!" Ji Tianzhuo yelled at Tian Cuiwei again. "Do you want to watch us continue with the rest of the matter?"
Tian Cuiwei bit her lip; her eyes were already red, but the tears hadn't fallen yet.
"It's alright, it's just a hen that lays eggs, don't be afraid." He gently comforted the person in his arms. Tian Cuiwei's expression was extremely unpleasant; she had never known that she looked like this in his eyes. For a moment, she felt a mix of emotions and didn't know what to say.
After holding back for a while, she finally calmed down and said in a composed manner, "I understand. I will not disturb you any longer."
I still feel somewhat resentful, though I don't know why.
Why have I endured this for so long?
"You don't even have a third of that bitch Ji Meiqing's, yet you dream all day long of dominating all the business. You're also clueless about romance. The way you're dressed is disgusting."
Ji Tianzhuo looked at him with disdain, but the person in his arms couldn't help but laugh and ask, "Then how did you manage to marry this lady?"
"Blind, huh?" he said casually, then lifted the chin of the person in his arms, looked her over carefully, and said with a hint of regret, "If I had married you back then, I'd probably be quite fortunate with women now."
"I hate you," the person in her arms said coquettishly. Tian Cuiwei felt uncomfortable and left without looking back.
Seeing that she had left, Ji Tianzhuo couldn't wait to suppress her again.
The latter chuckled and went along with his wishes.
After Tian Cuiwei left, the cold wind outside made her feel much more awake. She was still somewhat agitated.
He hadn't touched her in a long time, and she had no idea that she would be seen this way in her eyes. Tian Cuiwei was somewhat indignant; after all, she had served him for so long and even bore him a child as a foundation for him to become the future master of the Ji family.
Unexpectedly, she sighed, feeling as if something was pressing down on her heart, so heavy that she didn't know what to do.
He had to deal with Ji Meiqing on one hand, and Ji Tianzhuo on the other. But now it seemed he could no longer rely on him; he was completely useless and incompetent, and it was better to rely on himself.
The thought immediately popped into her head: Ji Meiqing's wine is very good, isn't it? Then she would use her wine to defeat her. Once she succeeded, the Ji family and Ji Meiqing would all have to defer to her.
We can get rid of Ji Tianzhuo and the like; they're useless anyway, so it's best to just discard them.
