Chapter 187 Arrival at the Far North Village and Check-in at the Pharmacy Guest Room

The atmosphere became lively, and Ishikawa and Ding Wenyuan smiled. They knew that after a long voyage, they were finally about to arrive at this legendary place.

The woman who had been reading in the cabin finally put down her book.

As the ship approached the fairy island, the scenery became increasingly clear. The island was covered in lush vegetation, with ancient trees reaching for the sky, and the outlines of some ancient buildings were faintly visible. Guided by Elder Qin, the ship slowly sailed into a natural harbor.

"Let's get ready to disembark, we've arrived." Old Qin stood up, his gaze resolute.

Ding Wenyuan, Xu Xiaohong, and Shi Chuan stood up, straightened their belongings, and prepared to set foot on this mysterious land. They knew that this journey would be a significant turning point in their lives.

The ship docked smoothly at the shore, and the three followed in Elder Qin's footsteps, stepping onto the land of the far northern fairy island. A breath of fresh air rushed towards them, mixed with the unique fragrance of flowers and plants on the island, making them feel refreshed and relaxed.

A road sign stands by the roadside at the port, pointing north and reading "Far North Village".

At the entrance to Jibei Village, several quaint wooden houses were scattered along both sides of the road, and the villagers curiously looked at the new visitors. Ding Wenyuan, Xu Xiaohong, Shi Chuan, and a young woman followed Qin Lao through the stone-paved paths and finally arrived at a magnificent building.

The three large characters “Xianyuan Pavilion” are engraved on the lintel of this building. The characters are strong and powerful, revealing an extraordinary air.

The shop shelves were filled with all sorts of magical artifacts and magical weapons. A shop assistant was working on an abacus. He didn't look up when he saw the newcomers. Instead, an old man came out from the backyard and greeted the group.

"Old Qin, I thought you'd died out there." The old man smiled as he walked towards Old Qin, coughing twice as he spoke.

"Old Li, you weren't smoking in the backyard just now, were you?" Old Qin smiled and walked towards the old man, though his left leg was slightly lame, as he had been walking all the way.

"What happened to your leg?" the old man surnamed Li asked.

"It's nothing serious. I just got injured on the battlefield. As you know, the spiritual energy outside is depleted, so we can't use spells," Old Qin said with a smile.

"How long will you stay this time?" the old man surnamed Li asked.

"I won't be going out this time; I'm coming back to retire. The others want to go to the Divine Tomb, and we'll need your help again in a couple of days." Old Qin's expression turned serious again.

"If I don't help, just consider me dead from smoking my pipe." After saying this, the old man surnamed Li went back to the backyard.

Old Qin smiled awkwardly and led the four of them out of the Immortal Fate Pavilion.

Stepping into the northernmost village, they felt a sense of tranquil seclusion. Most of the houses were wooden structures with thick thatched roofs and walls covered in vines. Along the village paths, various unidentified wildflowers dotted the landscape, creating a vibrant and colorful scene.

Old Qin led them through the village square, where a stone well stood in the center. Several village women were busy drawing water from the well, and they all greeted Old Qin warmly. Old Qin smiled and responded, then continued leading them forward.

"Old Qin, this village looks very peaceful, and the villagers seem to be living simple and contented lives," Xu Xiaohong said as they walked.

“Yes, the people of Jibei Village live a self-sufficient life, far removed from the hustle and bustle of the world. They respect nature and coexist harmoniously with this land,” Old Qin replied.

They continued on their way and soon came to a large wooden house. A wooden plaque hung above the door, which read "Xianyuanju" (Immortal's Abode). Old Qin pushed open the door, and a faint fragrance of herbs wafted out.

"This is our village's pharmacy, and also where I usually live," Old Qin explained.

Inside the pharmacy, an elderly man with white hair sat in front of the medicine cabinet, carefully grinding herbs. Upon seeing Old Qin, he looked up, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.

"Little Qin, you're back." The old man's voice was gentle yet strong.

"Yes, I brought some friends with me. They are all trustworthy partners," Old Qin introduced.

The old man nodded, his gaze sweeping over Ding Wenyuan, Xu Xiaohong, and Shi Chuan one by one, finally settling on the woman who was reading a book.

"Who is this?" the old man asked curiously.

"Oh, her name is Lin Jing, and she is a learned martial artist," Elder Qin replied.

Lin Jing smiled slightly and nodded to the old man.

"Welcome to the far north fairy island. I hope you can find what you are looking for here," the old man said sincerely.

Afterwards, Elder Qin led them on a tour of the pharmacy, explaining the uses of various herbs and medicines. Ding Wenyuan and Xu Xiaohong showed great interest in this novel knowledge, while Shi Chuan silently memorized this valuable information.

As night fell, Elder Qin arranged for them to rest in the guest rooms next to the pharmacy. Outside the window, the stars twinkled, and moonlight shimmered on the sea.
