Chapter Seventy-Six: Li Yan's Warning
Li Yan became even more unscrupulous in provoking the aloof and fragile Xu Rou.
As a result, not long after, Xu Rou got so angry that she threw down her chopsticks and stormed into the room without looking back, slamming the door shut with a loud bang.

"Or do you think that if you insult me, I not only can't talk back, but I have to obediently let you slap my face in order for you to consider me not bullying you?"
Li Yan was telling the truth. No matter whether Xu Rou recorded the conversation or how she tried to distort the facts, she would not let Xu Rou succeed in sowing discord.
Moreover, the fact that she used the same trick twice shows how naive Xu Rou's thinking was.
At this moment, Li Yan's dislike for Xu Rou reached its peak. She even felt that she could hardly breathe when she was in the same space as Xu Rou.
After listening to Li Yan's words and the recording, Gu Tingyan tossed the phone back to Xu Rou and said irritably, "Xu Rou, I don't want to see you causing trouble anymore."
He gave Xu Rou a threatening look, turned and walked out, telling Li Yan in a casual tone that it was time to eat.
Li Yan noticed that his reaction was a little cold, but she didn't stop him to say anything, she just nodded.
Xu Rou and Li Yan were left alone in the room.
