Chapter 344: A New Crisis - The Mysterious Taoist Priest
Liu Yu and the others left the place where they fought the Demon Cave Master, chatting and laughing all the way, in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
"Xiao Tian, where did you get that gourd from?" Liu Yu asked curiously, her eyes full of doubt and anticipation.
Xiao Tian blinked, a mysterious glint in its eyes. It said cryptically, "This is my secret, I won't tell you. Master, please don't pry." It then playfully stuck out its tongue, looking utterly adorable.
Bai Suzhen smiled and said, "Xiao Tian always has so many treasures. I wonder where it hides them all. Maybe there really is a mysterious space in its little pocket that can hold countless things." Her voice was gentle as water, with a hint of laughter.
Xiaoqing joined in, grinning, and said, "Maybe there's something special hidden in its green underwear! If there really is, that would be amazing." As she spoke, she reached out to touch Xiaotian's pocket.
Everyone burst into laughter, and the sound echoed along the road, filling the journey with a joyful atmosphere.
As they walked, they came to a bustling little town. The town was teeming with cars and people, and the sounds of vendors hawking their wares rose and fell.
"Wow, it's so lively here!" Pigsy looked around excitedly, his eyes couldn't take it all in, and everything he saw seemed new and exciting.
The townspeople couldn't help but laugh when they saw Xiaotian's comical appearance in his green shorts.
"Look at that puppy, it's so funny!" A child pointed at Xiaotian, laughing from ear to ear.
"Haha, still wearing underwear!" A vegetable vendor burst into laughter.
Xiao Tian, however, didn't seem to care. He walked with his head held high and chest out, his steps resembling those of someone walking a catwalk. He would wag his tail at people from time to time, as if showing off his unique style.
Just then, a mysterious Taoist priest suddenly appeared before them. The priest wore a gray Taoist robe, a Bagua hat, and held a peach wood sword, with a solemn expression.
"You all possess demonic energy; you must be monsters!" the Taoist priest shouted, his voice stern and cold.
Liu Yu quickly stepped forward and respectfully explained, "Daoist, you misunderstand. We are not demons. We are all righteous people who just defeated the evil cave master."
The Taoist priest wouldn't listen to Liu Yu's explanation at all, his face stubborn: "Stop trying to argue, I'll take you all down!"
As he spoke, the Taoist priest brandished his peach wood sword and began to cast a spell. A beam of light shot out from the sword, heading straight for Liu Yu and the others.
Liu Yu and the others quickly responded. Bai Suzhen thought to herself, "This Taoist priest attacked without any explanation; he must be a reckless person. But we can't just sit here and wait to die. We should hold him off for a while first."
Xiaoqing said angrily, "This Taoist priest is so unreasonable! He attacked without even asking what happened. We'll show him what we're capable of!"
Xiao Tian barked and charged forward, its speed as fast as lightning. It pulled a slingshot from its pocket, skillfully loaded it with pebbles, and shot it at the Taoist priest.
The Taoist priest was flustered by Xiao Tian's actions; he hadn't expected a little dog to have such abilities.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Liu Yu unleashed his swordsmanship, his sword flashing like the wind as he attacked the Taoist priest. His swordsmanship was exquisite and carried a fierce aura.
Seeing Liu Yu's sharp swordsmanship, the Taoist priest was startled: "Hmph, you have some skill! But defeating me won't be so easy!"
Just as the two sides were locked in a fierce battle, the sky suddenly darkened. The once clear sky was instantly shrouded in dark clouds, plunging the entire town into gloom.
"What's going on?" Pigsy exclaimed in surprise, his fat face filled with terror.
A massive black cloud loomed overhead, resembling a mountain peak, heavy and oppressive. Faint roars echoed from within the cloud, as if something terrifying lurked within.
"Oh no, I'm afraid an even more powerful monster is coming!" Liu Yu said, his expression turning serious, his heart filled with worry.
At that moment, a gigantic monster flew out from the dark clouds. This monster was as large as a mountain, with sharp claws and fangs, and its eyes flashed with a red light, sending chills down one's spine.
"What kind of monster is this?" Xiaoqing was so frightened that she hid behind Bai Suzhen, her voice trembling.
The monster lunged at them, baring its fangs and claws, creating a gust of wind that sent everyone staggering about.
Liu Yu and the others fought back fiercely. Liu Yu brandished her sword, the blade flashing, trying to block the monster's attacks. Bai Suzhen cast ice magic, attempting to slow the monster's movements. Xiao Qing's lightning magic continuously struck the monster.
Xiao Tian pulled another magical item from his pocket—a fan. The fan looked ordinary, but Xiao Tian was full of confidence.
"Watch this!" Xiao Tian said, fanning himself vigorously with his fan, and a gust of wind swept towards the monster. The wind was so strong that it forced the monster to take a few steps back.
Seeing this, the Taoist priest also stopped fighting with Liu Yu and the others, realizing that the key was to work together to fight the monster.
"Let's deal with this monster first!" the Taoist priest shouted, his voice filled with determination.
Everyone unleashed their strongest spells and skills. Various lights intertwined, creating a magnificent spectacle.
The monster was gradually losing ground; it was wounded in several places, and fear was evident in its eyes.
He turned around and tried to run away.
"Don't let it get away!" Liu Yu shouted urgently.
Just as they were about to give chase, the monster suddenly vanished in a puff of black smoke, leaving everyone standing there, looking at each other in bewilderment...
