Chapter 1240 Investigate to the end!

Chapter 1240 Investigate to the end!

"Boss!" Sovokov stood ramrod straight, holding the satellite phone.

"Sovokov, go to South Korea. My daughter was assassinated there. Find out exactly what happened!" Zhao Cheng's tone was icy cold.

"Boss, how far do I need to investigate?" Sovokov asked cautiously.

"Investigate to the bottom of this. Find out everything about everyone involved, whether they were the ones carrying out the plan or the people behind it! Make sure they're all working underground! Underground! Understand?" Zhao Cheng said calmly.

“No problem, boss. I’ll take the men over right away!” Sovokov’s eyes narrowed. He knew his boss was angry, so he didn’t dare hesitate and immediately agreed.

After hanging up the phone, Sovokov walked out of his office and into the company lobby.

"Working Group One, come in for a meeting!" Sovokov shouted.

Soon, seven or eight people sitting by the window stood up and went into Sovokov's office.

"What's the mission, boss?" Zhang Jun, the leader of the first group, walked in and asked curiously.

"The boss has given us a mission: Ace of Spades was assassinated in South Korea, or rather, warned! The boss wants us to go and investigate this matter, and incidentally send those people to work underground!" Sovokov said, shrugging as he looked at the people who walked in.

"The Ace of Spades? Someone actually dares to make a move against her?" A cold glint flashed in Zhang Jun's eyes. He really didn't expect that someone would actually make a move against the eldest daughter of the Zhao family.

"So tomorrow I'll take you to South Korea. Someone has to pay the price for this. We can also stretch our muscles. Finally, we have something to do!" Sovokov said with a smile.

"Understood. Let's go down and prepare!" Zhang Jun looked at his team members and nodded to indicate that he understood.

After Zhang Jun left, Sovokov stood up and walked to the window. Looking at Victoria Harbour outside, his eyes were filled with excitement.

As a former KGB ace agent, he was recruited by Zhao Cheng ten years ago. After all, he was just a small leader stationed in Berlin at the time, and he was being hunted down by headquarters for some shady reasons.

After he escaped to Mingzhu after many twists and turns, Zhao Cheng took him in, gave him a makeover, and helped him start a new life. Moreover, after the collapse of the Goose Camp, Zhao Cheng rescued his wife and children from the concentration camp.

Zhao Cheng did not treat him unfairly. He not only gave him a respectable job, but also put him in charge of training some orphans adopted by the Zhao family and creating an intelligence organization that belonged only to the Zhao family.

After several years of development, leveraging Pearl's advantage as the Far East's intelligence center, Sovokov has become a very famous intelligence dealer, with four directly subordinate intelligence groups and an external intelligence organization of nearly one hundred people.

They usually operate under the guise of an information consulting company, occupying an entire floor of office space in a prime location in Mingzhu. They are impeccably dressed, travel in luxury cars, and have no shortage of material comforts.

Normally, they are only responsible for some ordinary intelligence selling work, and Zhao Cheng basically does not need them for any operations, so they can be said to live a very comfortable life.

Hearing his boss's cold tone, Sovokov couldn't help but feel sorry for the guy who wanted to mess with the Zhao family's eldest daughter. Recalling his own painful experience of being dealt with by his boss when he challenged him, and the boss's cruel methods towards his enemies, Sovokov knew that many people would die on this trip to South Korea.

"I need to send a team of mercenaries to South Korea to stand by!" Sovokov picked up the phone and made the call.

"That's against the rules!" came the voice on the other end of the phone.

"The boss's orders: the young lady was attacked in South Korea, and we need to find and eliminate those scum who did it!" Sovokov said.

"I need to call and verify with the boss!" the person on the other end said.

“No problem. After you verify, remember to send people to assemble in South Korea within a week. I need elite troops! Just select two combat squads from the first team!” Sovokov said.

"If the boss agrees, then there's no problem. However, one team is in the Golden Triangle, and it will take some time to get there, since we can't just fly there directly!" the person on the other end of the phone said.

"That's why I asked you to go there within a week! If possible, we can look for weapons when we get to South Korea, since weapons from the U.S. are easier to buy there!" Sovokov said with a smile.

"No problem, I'll have the team leader, Fox, contact you once we arrive!" The other person said and then hung up.

"Hopefully, we'll never need to use you; that would be a real problem!" Sovokov muttered.

Meanwhile, Situ Haonan of the Southern Gang had already contacted the Golden Gate Group and the White Tiger Gang to start gathering information in the underworld. Although yesterday's shooting only killed one member of the Sky Bridge Gang, the impact was still enormous.

Someone actually dared to make a move against the Skybridge Gang. Although it's just an outside gang with only a small area near the Han River in Seoul, anyone who isn't a fool knows that this is just a branch. Their main power is in Myeongju, a large organization with hundreds of thousands of members. If a small country like South Korea were to have some kind of dirty business with the Skybridge Gang, it's hard to say who would suffer more.

Not only the underworld, but also the Seoul police department is investigating the case. Their entire regional search team has been mobilized to try and find the gunman.

"Chief Park, we need an explanation. Why did this happen?" In the Seoul Police Department's chief's office, a middle-aged man in a suit stood inside and loudly questioned Chief Park.

"Director Choi, we also want to know. We are investigating this matter!" Director Park said, wiping the sweat from his brow.

"So what did you find out?" The man called Director Choi asked Director Park with murderous intent in his eyes.

"No! All we know right now is that the assassin used an American sniper rifle. We have no other clues, but this type of sniper rifle is very popular in the international arms market, so it's very difficult to get information from there!" Director Park said helplessly.

"Do you know what will happen if this matter isn't resolved? Do you want Seoul to become a battlefield? That woman is, after all, the daughter of that tiger! You know the tiger's status on the mainland, right? Although no diplomatic note has been issued to our country yet, I'm sure some organization has been hired to investigate this matter. If we can't find out the results soon, our country may face a very serious terrorist attack! Can you bear the consequences?" Director Choi asked with a serious expression.

"Director Choi, doesn't your intelligence agency have any information at all? You know, our police station really doesn't have any good solutions for this kind of thing, after all, we're not professionals!" Chief Park said with a wronged expression.
