Chapter 286: Dreamy City

Lily and her friends had just returned to the palace from the fantasy world of time and space. Although they felt a little relieved, they still had the unsolved mystery in their hearts. The air in the palace was filled with a mysterious atmosphere, as if everything was just a moment of tranquility before it came to a standstill.

Suddenly, a golden light descended from the sky and shone directly into the center of the palace. In the golden light, an exquisite ancient clock emerged, with complex patterns engraved on the clock face. As the clock appeared, the entire palace began to vibrate.

"What is this?" Apang said anxiously.

"This may be the key to the next stage." Silver Wing speculated calmly.

Lily stared at the ancient clock, and vaguely felt that this adventure would be even more difficult. "We must explore the secret of this clock, maybe it can guide us to find the real answer."

Everyone gathered around the clock, and suddenly, the clock hands began to spin rapidly. As the hands turned, Lily and her companions were surrounded by a powerful force, and in the blink of an eye, they were teleported to a completely unfamiliar place.

They came to a maze-like world consisting of countless floating islands. Each island was connected by a shaky suspension bridge, unknown colored light groups floated in the sky, and a faint fragrance filled the air.

"What is this place?" Lin Ye asked puzzledly.

"This might be the Dream City, a world made up of countless dream fragments." Lily guessed, and she had already begun to outline a bizarre adventure in her mind.

Just as they were about to start exploring, suddenly a clown in brightly colored clothes jumped out of the air with a candy cane in his mouth.

"Welcome to the Dream City! I am the guardian here, Candy Clown." The clown said with a smile, "You must complete my challenge before you can move on."

"What challenge?" Lily asked warily.

"It's very simple. You need to find five hidden magic candies on these floating islands. Each candy represents a memory and the power of time and space." The Candy Clown smiled proudly, "You can leave here only after you find all the candies."

"It sounds like a big problem." Fatty muttered.

"In that case, let's start looking for it," Lily said firmly.

After the clown disappeared, Lily led her friends to search for magic candies on the floating islands. Each island has a unique view, some are full of fantastic animals and plants, and some are dreamlike mazes.

On an island full of fluorescent plants, they met a group of talking fireflies, who told them that the magic candy was hidden in a singing flower. Lily used her wisdom and carefulness to finally find the singing flower and picked a colorful candy from the petals of the flower.

"Found the first one!" Lin Ye shouted happily.

"It looks like we are one step closer to success." Lily said with a smile.

Next, they continue their search for the magic candy on different islands, each with unique challenges and puzzles, such as solving the riddle of a color-changing cat or finding a giant eagle with clairvoyance on the edge of a cliff.

While searching for the third candy, they came to an island full of huge mirrors that reflected each person's image, but these images moved on their own.

"These mirrors are so strange." Silver Wing said.

"Maybe we have to go through these mirrors to find the candy," Lily pondered.

Sure enough, the image in the mirror began to imitate their movements, but made some subtle changes, as if hinting at something. Lily suddenly had an idea and imitated the image's movements. Suddenly, the mirror cracked and a purple magic candy fell out.

"Great! We are only two away!" Apang said excitedly.

As they found more and more magic candies, the environment of the floating island became more and more fantastical. The fourth candy was hidden in a psychedelic forest, and Lily successfully obtained it by solving the riddle of the tree spirit.

The location of the last candy was unexpectedly hard to find, and it took them a long time to find it on a hidden island. On this island was an ancient altar surrounded by mysterious runes. Lily realized that this might be the final test.

On the altar, Lily needs to put the four candies she found earlier into the four grooves of the altar. As the candies are put in, the altar begins to emit a dazzling light, and the last candy slowly emerges from the center of the altar.

"We succeeded!" Lin Ye shouted excitedly.

"But this light is a bit too dazzling." Apang said with narrowed eyes.

At this moment, the light of the altar suddenly burst out, covering Lily and her friends. The next moment, they found themselves back in the original palace, and they were holding the five mysterious magic candies in their hands.

"This is the key to the next stage." Lily looked at the candy in her hand and had a flash of enlightenment.

"It seems that we must find more clues to uncover the real secret of these candies." Silver Wing said.

"In any case, we've come too far to stop," Lily said firmly.

They embarked on an adventurous journey again, ready to solve the ultimate mystery of time and space.
